SETH GYIMAH TO REPRESENT GHANA IN THE OLYMPIC BOXING QUALIFIERS IN SENEGAL

The Ghana National Boxing Team, the Black Bombers are to travel to Dakar, Senegal for the upcoming Olympic Boxing Qualifiers set to take place from September 9 to 15th September, 2023.

 

The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) through its Media department has released that UK-based Ghanaian descent Seth Gyimah alias Freezy Macbones has been selected to represent Ghana at the upcoming Olympics Boxing Qualifiers in Senegal.

 

According to the GBF Media, the Federation will release the full list of Team Ghana by the end of this week to be sent to Senegal for the qualifications ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris, France next year.

It is understood that the Black Bombers meanwhile will start a Special Residential Camping by the close of this weekend after 3months non-essential training, which saw key members of the Black Bombers partake in the 2023 Men’s World Amateur Boxing Championship in Tashkent – Uzbekistan in May.

 

Seth Gyimah, who has a professional record of 2 wins out of 2 has responded to the call by the GBF accepting to represent Ghana in the Qualifiers.

“I have been called on to represent my country Ghana at the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. This will commence after the African qualification bouts next month in Dakar, Senegal which I’m currently training hard for, in order to make it past the qualifiers and bring back the gold next year.
