Question(Q): Tell me about your new portfolio, WBC CARES AFRICA Chapter Executive Secretary

Sarah Lotus Asare(S L A): I am expected to run the activities of the chapter virtually from Accra and with support of boxing bodies.

Q: How your secured it?

S L A: I was contacted by the Global Chair who has been following my involvement in boxing as well as writing skills. Also my history of working in social impact projects and how I link my community change projects with boxing as seen in the Anti Teenage advocacy with GIrls Box and Linking public speaking and education to Jurvnile and youth boxing at Greater Accra

Q: What it means to you and Ghana?

S L A: I am interested in seeing progress in boxing and opportunities like this a way to do so. Ghana has had reps at the WBC, but this is the first time we have had representation at the humanitarian wing, I would encourage members of the Ghana public to recognize that this is a big win for us as our boxers who win belts will have to guidance on how to use the hero status to create change in their communities. Becoming a world champion should not only benefit you and your family members but the whole country.

Q: And what your ambitions are?

S L A: I simply want to see Ghana boxing have a better image and I am ready to work to achieve that. I believe I have come every far very quickly in this sports and if our leaders can recognize my potentials. You have observed my work at wisdom Boxing Gym since my involvement the image of the club has been raised attracting 3 sponsors with less than 2 years.

At the GABA the opportunity to serve as assistant organizer saw the organization stage 9 events (5 boxing tournaments and 4 seminars) compare to zero between 2018, 2019, 2020.

I am hard working and blessed.

I am grateful to all who have given me opportunities to work in boxing one way or another that has projected me to this role Alex Ntiamoah, Coach Asare , GABA , Wisdom , Ghana Boxing website.
