Let’s teach our boxers how to be media friendly – Joseph Agbeko

Two-time former bantamweight world champion, Joseph Agbeko has sounded an advise to boxing stakeholders and boxers to position themselves right in order to attract the needed brand attention.

In what seemed to be a little disagreement between a journalist from Rainbow Radio and manager of Ace Power Promotions, ended with Agbeko’s sober comments at the press conference which was organized some hours ago in Accra-Ghana.

“Greetings to GBA President, Ace Power Promotions, ladies and gentlemen and the media. We are all here to support boxing but not to bring the sport down. May be the media might not be given us what we deserve.

Let’s teach our boxers how to be media friendly, how to market themselves and their brand. We are here to build the sport of boxing. I take the opportunity to apologize to both media and GBA. We shouldn’t fight over this rather we should do our best to make it work ” He expressed.

The question of comprehensive media coverage of boxing news as against football was put to test with some media men in attendance expressing contrary opinons on the subject.

Ace Power Promotions prepares to whet their appetities of boxing fans come October 16, 2021 with a total of four title fights to be staged at the plush La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra-Ghana.
