Ghana has been following the progress of the Black Bombers since their qualification to the Tokyo Olympic Games and still support the team and other athletes with the hope of they repeating history.

 

After news broke from Tokyo of the automatic qualification of all the three boxers representing Ghana, supporters and boxing lovers shared their view with many saying it is a sign of victory in disguise as other attributed it to God answering their prayers.

 

But in the heat of this news circulation, the Black Bombers has for the first time spoken about their drawing bye and qualification to the next stage of the competition.

 

In an exclusive video shared with BoxinGhana.com, the team expressed their delight and continued to show determination as they made little of the qualification but promised to work extra hard to make a name for themselves.

 

In the exclusive video, Shakul ‘Sharpshooter’ Bastie reiterated, “the tournament is not yet over so we are now starting, it is good that I have gotten the luck, I have made it to round of 16. I am left with only two fights and trust me the gold is coming”.

His team mate, Samuel ‘RingWarrior’ Takyi who was not far from him with a gentle smile of relief added, “I feel good, first of all I will thank and give praise to God that he has made gain stand by to the round of 16. I honestly thank God, I must improve in the round of 16 to win my fights. The tournament has not yet started so I am very happy but not so much, I will start the tournament with my confidence, and I will surely make it to the quarterfinals, and I will see what God will do next. I thank all my fans and implore all Ghanaians to pray for us to make it in the Olympics games.”

 

As the team remains hopeful of the feat they can achieve, so has the entire nation massed to support them win laurels in the Olympic.
