All three judges scored the bout in favour of the champion, judges Tim Cheatham and Dave Moretti both scored the bout 116-112, whilst Steve Weisfeld scored 118-110 in favour of the WBO world middleweight king.

Janibek now improves his record to (13-0, 8 KOs) as against that of his nemesis Denzel Bentley (17-2-1, 14).
