Inaugural heads of the association including Kotei Dzanie aka Alloway (President), Coach Jones: father of former boxer Lartekwei Hammond (Vice), Awudu Nelson (Secretary) are either incapacitated or deceased.

For this reason, Dr. Ofori Asare ably held the fort in an acting capacity for an extended period.

Ostensibly, measures have been expedited to elect new officers for the association to ensure its smooth running and sustained viability.

Positions to be contested for include: President, 1st Vice, 2nd Vice, Secretary, Organiser, Treasurer and three Executive portfolios.

With the polls set for February 15 at the forecourt of the Attoh Quarshie Gym beginning at 9am to 1 pm, members are poised to choose a vibrant new generation of competent and committed leaders who would elevate the United Boxing Coaches Association to occupy its rightful place in Ghana’s Boxing ecosystem.
