Red hot Featherweight prospect Stanley Nyantakyi nicknamed the Ashanti Warrior defeated Nathaniel Nukpe in an eight round contest on Saturday.

 

In front of a mammoth crowd at the Bukom Boxing Arena: an event put up by Macbones Promotions, the Kumasi native dispatched Nukpe in five affirming allegiance to his Ashanti heritage and promising Otumfuor Osei Tutu II and Former President John Mahama who watched the fight from ringside a world title.

 

Nyantakyi who has currently garnered seven wins in eight outings had to overcome an early onslaught from Nukpe making the encounter a dramatic one .

 

Managed by Mr. Gordon Frimpong aka Osebor of the Osebor Boxing Management, the Bronx Boxing Gym boxer expressed appreciation to his trainer Lawrence Carl Lokko who discovered and nurtured him and fellow stablemates for their support.

 

Having earned plaudits and commendation from Former President Mahama, he vowed to work hard to bring glory to Asanteman and Ghana as a whole.

 

In the main event of the night, charismatic Ghanaian pugilist based in the UK Seth Gyimah aka Freezy Macbones made mincemeat of late replacement Salami Oladimeji from Nigeria after Senegalese Seydou Konate pulled out.
