Boxers who will show up on the ‘Northern Rumble’ bill have already made history because it is the first time that professional boxers will showcase their skills at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium at Tamale on December 5, 2026.
But as the build up goes on a special press conference to launch the event will take place on October 17 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
The event is an opportunity for boxers in the north to show up and be seen.
According to Mr. Samuel Darkwah Agyei, CEO of SP Sports Promotions the event has gained attention, popularity and most people want to be part of the history.
SP Sports boxers, George Faho Mensah and Charles Tetteh will certainly be on the show, as well some crack boxers from the south who will spice the northern invasion.
Alhassan Wahab, Roland Agodim and Mohammed Fsisal are all ready to rumble.
Mutari said he is also ready to bring the heat to Tamale for a night of pure power, honoring the hard work and dedication of our farmers.
The event is on a memorable day, the National Farmers Day, so champion boxers must make a good harvest.
The IMC of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) is enthusiastic about the historic show and given their backing and blessing.
Gideon Oyiadzo aka Jingles who is the operating officer said it is good to take boxing every where in Ghana because the sport has brought much glory and honour.
For Coach Carl Lokko of Bronx Gym, he is so much happy because for over 12 years he has bee a crusader for boxing bouts to be held all over the country.
Coach Dr. Ofori Asare of Wisdom Gym is also happy and commends the promoters and sponsors.
