It was all joy last night at the Bukom Boxing Arena after Ghana’s Alfred ‘Bukom Boxer’ Lamptey stopped the experienced Tanzanian Iddi Kayumba in the last round (10) via TKO to win the WBO Youth World and the WBC Youth World Silver Super-Featherweight titles.

The New unified champion Alfred Lamptey after having promised his fans a KO during the press conference delivered on his word despite being unable to do a quick work as promised. Iddi Kayumba who refused to succumb throughout the journey despite going down in the second round was finally stopped in the 10th round.  Referee Roger Barnor realised Kayumba wouldn’t be able to continue after falling on the ropes; thanks to Lamptey’s continued combination of punches to the body.

The 19 year old ‘Bukom Boxer’ who is also known as ‘Show Time’ looks destined to rule the Super Featherweight division after such a display of ring generalship with lots of body works on an experienced and quality opponent like Iddi Kayumba. This takes Lampteys KO records to 7 out of 9 wins in his 9 pro fights.

Alfred ‘Bukom Boxer’ Lamptey must continue to be focused and determined to climb higher heights as his potentials has been displayed for all to see.

Congratulations to The New champion in town Alfred Lamptey and best of wishes to him and his entire team, as well as the GBA Board who have shown tremendous support for the teenager in achieving this great feat. ‘Ayekoo’ to Super Sports (DSTV), all the fans and the sponsors as well.
