The favorable draw moves both pugilists directly into the advanced stages of their respective weight divisions, bypassing the grueling preliminary rounds and putting them within arm’s reach of the medal rounds.

Jibril Muntari (90kg – Heavyweight): Muntari’s bye in the heavy division places him directly into the crucial bracket stages. The extra rest allows the powerhouse fighter to analyze potential opponents coming through the opening prelims while avoiding early wear-and-tear.
