The Championship comprises two events: one on January 27 at the Modak Hotel Junction, Korle Wokon and the final phase on January 28 at the Bukom Park.

In their quest to discover and groom talents for the various national teams, the GBF, headed by Bernard Quartey (President) and Dauda Fuseini (Vice) are looking at raising a winsome team for the impending Youth Games in Croatia 2024.

Some of the nascent prospects to watch in this tournament include: Precious Akai Nettey, Wisdom Barnor (Attoh Quarshie Gym), Benjamin Lamptey, Ebenezer Ankrah (Black Panthers Gym), and Desmond Pappoe (Jamestown Gym).

In an exclusive chat with Mr. Dauda Fuseini, Vice President of the Ghana Boxing federation, he intimated: ” The Federation is elated for this opportunity and believes it will impact positively on the athletes to achieve success in all their outings. Getting the team together , train together and then also giving them exposure by engaging in bilateral tournaments like these , will boost their confidence level and make them excel in international tournaments. We urge more sponsors to support our course just as Base Phamacy Limited has done by being the major sponsor for majority of our endeavours.”

Main sponsors, Base Pharmacy are anticipating a healthy turnout amid some precocious displays.
With a plethora of gyms confirming their participation, this Youth and Elite Boxing Championships should be nothing short of exhilarating.
