Which Ghanaian boxers are fighting next? Upcoming Fights, Bout Rumours.
Following the Interim Management Committee’s decision to suspend boxing in the country, there has been no official news about the sport’s return.
Despite this, Ghanaian boxers remain active, with discussions about potential matches and scheduling for future fights still taking place.
This post covers the expected return, upcoming fights, and fight rumours involving some of your favourite Ghanaian boxers.
1. Seth Gyimah ‘Freezy Macbones’
Following his win over Ibrahim Marshall by stoppage, Gyimah is scheduled to fight Andras Komjathi in France on November 6.
Gyimah appears to be pursuing international fights after declining to fight Jonathan ‘Worldwide’ Tetteh for the national light heavyweight title due to the latter’s lack of experience.
Tetteh, however, secured the title in May after a TKO win against Ernest Akushey.
2. Elvis Ahorgah
Elvis ‘Soldier’ Ahorgah has been keeping busy in 2025, having fought four times already.
This year, Elvis’ on-mic skills elevated him to global boxing fame during the lead-up to his match against Commonwealth super-middleweight champion Callum Simpson. Even though he lost that fight, he captured the hearts of many fans with his charisma and confidence.
Since then, he has won twice and lost once, with his most recent performance being a victory against Dossou Houenou in Nigeria.
With no fights currently scheduled, his chances of fighting again this year are uncertain.
3. Daniel Gorsh
Daniel Gorsh is another boxer who has been active this year. Having fought four times in 2025 with a record of 3-1, it’s likely he has one more fight before the year ends.
His activity goes to show his grit, particularly after rebounding from his loss of the WBO Africa Bantamweight belt to Theophilus Allotey in June.
4. Theophilus Allotey
The undefeated 23-year-old bantamweight Theophilus Allotey is a strong contender for the fighter of the year.
Having secured five victories in 2025, he also claimed the WBO Africa (bantamweight) and UBO Continental (superflyweight) titles following his victories against Daniel Gorsh and Daniel Tagoe, respectively.
Despite his remarkable run this year, one more win in December would further cement his place as the country’s best pound-for-pound fighter.
5. Africanus Neequaye
After winning in January, Neequaye was supposed to have his second fight of the year in September, but the event got cancelled because of the suspension of boxing activities in the country.
Although Africanus was involved in four fights in 2024, he has not repeated the same level of activity this year.
Lifting the suspension would allow the fight promoter to reschedule the fight, enabling him to compete before the end of the year.
