TUNISIA BOXING STALEMATE: MINISTRY OF SPORTS SUMMONS TOP OFFICIALS
The ministry in charge of sports in Tunisia this week summoned the Provisional Committee President Mohamed Ksontini and the federation Secretary-General Saliha Fadhlaoui for an urgent meeting.
It’s not immediately known what was discussed at the meeting but a reliable source in Tunis told boxersworld.co.ke it’s likely the government will order for fresh elections.
The government has made it clear they will not recognise the newly-elected President Walid Nsiri because he was ineligible to take part in the December 28 elections having been an official in the disbanded board headed by Ziad Barbouch.
Nsiri won the elections with 22 votes followed by two former Presidents of the federation, Dhaw Chamekh 16 votes and Mohammed Bennour 13.
