If you’re a fight fan, here are 3 events you should look out for this weekend from both boxing and mixed martial arts.
Canelo v Crawford (Sept 13)
In what is one of the biggest fights of the year, Undefeated and 2-weight undisputed champion Terrence Crawford tests his skills against Undisputed Super Middleweight champion and boxing icon Saul Canelo Alvarez.
The event promises to be delivered on its hype as both fighters will try to reach for greatness.
The event will stream live on Netflix on September 13 5:30 PM ET, 9:30 PM GMT.
In the Co main event, Callum Walsh faces Fernando Vargas Jr. in a bout with potential for a knockout.
UFC Noche: Lopes v Silva (Sept 13)
On the other side of the fence, Diego Lopes goes head to head with Jean Silva in the UFC.
Number 4 ranked featherweight Lopes will look to gain momentum for a second title run against the Jean Silva who is currently on a 5 fight win streak.
In the prelims, former title contenders Tatiana Suarez and Amanda Lemos face off to decide who could get another title shot in the near future.
Also, two brawlers, Alexander Hernandez and Diego Ferrierawill compete in the featherweight division to entertain fans in what we hope to be an exciting matchup.
Bahubali v Beast (Sept 12)
On the local scene, fan favourite Ernest Akushey (Bahubali) will throw down with Jacob Dickson widely known as ‘the Beast’ in a 10 round Cruiserweight bout at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
The event promoted by SEM Promotions is slated for September 12 and will feature the likes of Musah Lawson (16-1), Joseph Sackey (7-2) and Usife Lambo (4-0).
