ONE MAN SUPPORTER OFF TO NIGERIA TO SUPPORT GBA IN THE BURIAL PROCESS OF NIGERIA BOXER GABRIEL OLUWASEGUN:

The Ghana Boxing Authority(GBA)has delegated two persons,Gideon Hassen Appiah(GBA board member)and Lateykwei Lartey(head coach,Fit Square Boxing Gym) to Lagos Nigeria ahead of the arrival of the body of Gabriel Oluwasegun Olanrewaju on Tuesday June 17 2025 at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
In another development, Mr. Abraham Boakye, aka One Man Supporter, has provided a bus with the capacity of 47 seater with more than 30 members of Ghana National supporters Union to go and support Ghana Boxing Authority leadership in Lagos for the interment process of the late Nigeria boxer,Gabriel Oluwasegun Olanrewaju.
According to Mr.Boakye,he decided to mobilise his team members to support GBA because it’s all about Ghana sports, and Ghana Supporters Union is there not only for supporting our sporting disciplines to be victorious in their games but we must make ourselves available during sad moment like this.
The 47-seater bus left Accra yesterday afternoon and expected to arrive in Lagos in the next few hours, barring any unforeseeable circumstances along the way.
The GBA president, Abraham Kotei Neequaye, expressed his profound gratitude to Abraham Boakye for the unexpected support from him and his members.He also indicated that he has submitted $3000 to the GBA representatives led by Gideon Hansen Appiah made up of the $1500 meant for the boxer’s purse provided by Osibor Boxing Management CEO,Gordon Frimpong and $1500 from GBA as a donation to the family to be handed over to the president of Nigeria Boxing Board of Control(NBBofC).
The public will be updated on the reptriation process of the late boxer who is expected to be airlifted to his home country of Nigeria tomorrow, June 17 2025.
