GBA REACTIVATES PROCESS TO AIRLIFT BODY OF THE LATE NIGERIAN BOXER TO NIGERIA:26-05-2025

As instructed by the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, regarding the process to transport the deceased body of the late Nigerian boxer,Gabriel Oluwsegun Olanrewaju to Nigeria,the GBA president,Abraham Kotei Neequaye and the CEO of Osibor Boxing Management, Gordon Frimpong reactivated the processes they halted when the Minister inuagurated the 7-member committee to investigate THE CAUSE OF DEATH of the late boxer of blessed memory.

Both the GBA and Osibor Boxing Management, in collaboration with the office of the Nigeria high commission in Accra, have decided to airlift the body to Nigeria instead of their earlier decision to transport him by road.

The GBA president, Abraham Kotei Neequaye, has communicated to the minister to keep him posted on the latest processes to help fast track the process to help ease the pressure being mounted on him amd the CEO of Osibor Boxing Mamagement by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control(NBBofC).

The general public will be updated in every step of the process until he’s finally airlifted to Nigeria.
