GBA AND OSIBOR PROMOTIONS HAD A FRUITFUL ENGAGEMENT

The board members of Ghana Boxing Authority(GBA), under the leadership of President Abraham Kotei Neequaye, had a productive and fruitful stockholders meeting at the GBA secretariat today to genuinely express views, opinions, misgivings and challenges in an effort to help rescue the sinking GBA boat ahead of its congress/elections on the 12th of July, 2025.

The GBA president Abraham Kotei Neequaye, who was busy with the CEO of Osibor Boxing Management,Gordon Frimpong at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital mortuary working on how to reactivate the process of airlifting the body of the late Nigerian boxer,Gabriel Oluwsegun Olanrewaju to Nigeria as instructed by the Minister for Sports and Recreation,Hon.Kofi Iddie Adams, budgetted his time to make himself available at the meeting.

The GBA president expressed his profound gratitude to all those who attended the much anticipated and historic meeting in an effort to complement their quota to the forward match of professional boxing in Ghana.

According to the GBA supremo, the meeting today can be described as a learning curve. We, as stockholders in Ghana professional boxing, have discovered a new seed yet to be planted.

The meeting centred on collective interests of all stakeholders, including those absent and those in attendance regardless of personal interest. With collective support, professional boxing in Ghana will be allowed to grow, create more wealth and protect boxers, but with individual interest, the sport will be pushed into stagnation and retrogression.

Abraham Kotei Neequaye congratulated all those who picked nomination forms for their immeasurable passion for the sport and urged them to brace up as they are preparing to submit their forms and go through vetting respectively.

He cautioned all stockholders to help eschew the tendency to destroy the brand and image of professional boxing at the expense of selfish individuals, perhaps including himself as the president.

It’s time to stop all negative things from destroying the brand and marketability of boxing(the noble art of self-defense)in Ghana.

GBA,COMMUNICATION DIRECTORATE.
