Freezy Macbones to face Jonathan Tetteh on Matchroom card
Seth Gyimah (aka Freezy Macbones) has agreed to fight Jonathan Tetteh, on December 20, for the WBA African Light Heavyweight title.
The undefeated light heavyweight, whose career began in the UK before he moved to Ghana, will look to stop Jonathan Tetteh inside of eight rounds.
Tetteh is also an undefeated boxer with 10 professional victories and a former member of Ghana’s Olympic boxing team.
The pair were supposed to compete for the national light-heavyweight title in 2024, but Freezy withdrew because of Jonathan Tetteh’s lack of fights.
Now, however, the fight is signed, and both fighters will aim to make their mark on the light heavyweight division in an eight-round contest.
In October, Freezy was forced to pull out of the IBO Continental Light-Heavyweight title fight with AtjonKasparian because of a shoulder injury.
Since then, he’s focused on recovering so he can be ready and healthy for new challenges.
In 11 fights, Freezy Macbones has only gone the distance once, while all of Tetteh’s pro fights have ended in stoppages.
From all the signs, this fight will be exciting, possibly ending in a knockout.
The fight will be on the Matchroom Boxing card at Legon Sports Stadium on December 20.
A light heavyweight main event between Dan Azeez and Craig Richards is on the bill.
Also on the card, Theophilus Allotey will attempt to win the WBO Global Super Flyweight title in his fight against JayrRacquinel.
