ALGERIA TO TAKE PART IN EINDHOVEN BOX CUP JUNE 5-10
Nearly 30 nations and plenty of tough girls have registered to participate in the upcoming Eindhoven Box Cup which will be biggest edition since the international event was launched in 2016.
The biggest international event of the Netherlands, the 8th edition of the Eindhoven Box Cup will be held for the elite female and male boxers on June 5-10.
Algeria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Chinese Taipei, Croatia, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Guinea, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Mongolia, Netherlands, Palestine, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Wales are planning to send their teams to Eindhoven.
Medallists from Women’s Elite World Championships such as Algeria’s Ichrak Chaib, Mongolia’s Enkhjargal Munguntsetseg and Kosovo’s Donjeta Sadiku are also on the entry list of the Eindhoven Box Cup.
Young and next generation boxers such as Maud Van der Toorn of the Netherlands, another local talent, Gabriela Weerheim, Sofia Turbinina of Ukraine, Lauren Mackie of England and Oliwia Toborek of Poland will also compete in Eindhoven.
The World Boxing’s Elite World Boxing Championships will be held in Liverpool, England in the first half of September therefore the Eindhoven Box Cup could be a preparation tournament for the main event of the year 2025.
