Samira Mensah moves high in Sports Administration to become President of GJRSF

Samira Mensah is one of the new generation of Africa’s industrious creative female sports administrators who has transitioned from General Manager of the Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) to President of the Jump Rope and Skipping Federation Ghana (GJRSF).

The new Federation is about to hit communities and educational institutions with the formation of clubs and individual registration.

She told Yours Truly, serving Ghana Rugby was a meaningful chapter in her professional journey.

She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the administration, development and growth of Rugby in Ghana, and for the relationships, experiences, education and entertainment.

“This transition marks a new phase in my journey as a sport development professional with a broader focus on building sport systems, developing athletes and programmes, strengthening partnerships, and creating opportunities for young people through sport” she said.

“My commitment to contributing to the growth of Ghanaian sport remains unchanged. The sport may change, but the purpose remains the same: developing people, strengthening systems and creating pathways through sport. One chapter closes. Another begins. The work continues” she added.

She gave special mention to President of Ghana Rugby Ms. Rafatu Inusah and President of African Rugby Mr. Herbert Mensah for their inspiration.

Samira Mensah has also organised Table Tennis events with RightSet and currently one of the brains behind the upcoming massive breast cancer awareness and fitness health walk at Kasoa on October 17, 2026.
