WEIGH-IN FOR THE BATTLE OF TORKOR ATORLIA AT ABORIGINE BEACH RESORT CLUB COMPLETED

The weigh-in for the WABA Championship at the Aborigine Beach Resort Club in Keta town has been completed. Boxers stepped onto the weighing scale at 12 o’clock, where:

GLOBAL SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Saviour Gad: 76.05 kgs and Eliasu Sulley: 75.80 kgs.

PROF AZUMAH NELSON CHAMPION EMERITUS SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Michael Poppoe: 59.8 kgs and Michael Ansah: 58.70 kgs.

SUPREME WORLD SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Abubak Mubarak: 76.07 kgs and Justin Hounkpevi: 75.10 kgs.

The boxers successfully made weight, bringing smiles and joy as tomorrow’s Battle of TORKOR ATORLIA is set to be a catalyst for the advancement of boxing as a professional sport.

The Aborigine Beach Resort Club is fully booked to capacity, including its annexes and nearby inns.

Keta town is bustling with boxing fans from all walks of life in Ghana, as the Prof Azumah Nelson Champion Emeritus Championship is being held for the FIRST time in history in Ghana. This championship will feature two weight divisions that Prof Azumah Nelson once held as world champion: Featherweight and Super Featherweight.

All ring officials responsible for the fight have arrived today, including Rogers Barnor, Shadrack Acquaye, and May Mensah Akakpo.

Tomorrow marks another significant day, as WABA is making history with three Supreme World Championships in one tournament.
